Letter to Parents/Guardians of Students 

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As part of measures to reduce the risk of Influenza A (H1N1) among students when school reopens on 29 June, the Ministry of Education (MOE) will issue Leave of Absence (LOA) to all school staff and students returning from affected countries on and after 22 Jun, so that they do not attend school activities for seven calendar days upon their return to Singapore. Taking Care of youself
As the H1N1 virus gets more transmitted locally, it is important for everyone to carry on with their usual activities whilst observing good personal hygiene at all times.  If unwell, they should see a doctor, stay away from work, school or crowded places, and rest at home.
 
Influenza A(H1N1)
As of 06:00 GMT, 24 June 2009, 94 countries have officially reported 55,867 cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection, including 238 deaths.  220 of the infections are from Singapore.

Achievements
SAGE World Cup Competition
3 students, Tan Ying Quan, Shazwi Bin Suwandi and Nwankpo Chibuzo, did JJ proud when they clinched the top award at the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) World Cup Competition.

NEmation Competition

A team of 4 students from the JJ AVA Club spent their entire December holidays conceptualising and moulding blocks of clay for their project. Their efforts paid off handsomely when the team managed to beat 40 other teams to clinch the top prize of the N.E.Mation competition.
